The most common virus detection tests are: - RT - PCR: This is a molecular confirmatory Swab test (the swab is the instrument used for sample extraction through the nose and/or mouth). This test requires 24 hours for the result delivery. - ANTIGEN: This is a rapid diagnostic nasopharyngeal swab test (the swab is the instrument used to extract the sample from the nose and/or mouth). This test requires at least 2 hours for the result delivery. - ANTIBODIES: This is a rapid blood test for the detection of the virus. This test allows to know the person who was diagnosed with COVID 19 know if he/she has already generated antibodies naturally. - POST-VACCINATION ANTIBODIES: This is a rapid blood test to determine if the person already generated the antibodies in response to vaccination.
Travel information:
There are more than 140 countries that require PCR or antigen testing for entry into their territory. It is recommended that travelers or patients verify the information for their destination country.

To enter Colombia:
According to resolution 002 of 2021 of the Ministry of Health, during the immigration control the passenger must inform the Migration Officer if he/she has negative PCR or antigen test result for COVID 19 practiced at least 96 hours before departing.
This test can be performed in Colombia, but the person must be in preventive isolation until a negative result is confirmed.
